The Best Places to Eat in Jamestown, North Dakota

Some of the best places to eat in Jamestown, North Dakota are, no surprise, the locally owned restaurants.

Jamestown has its fair share of chain restaurants, but you can get food from Taco Bell or McDonald’s anywhere you go. Jamestown has a good mix of American and foreign favorites such as Mexican and Chinese.

The Depot Cafe

The best day to go is Thursday when they serve their house-made knoephla soup. The picture might not make it look like much, but I promise you it’ll be the best soup you have ever tried!

The Depot also delivers if you don’t want to drive to them.

Make your own knoephla soup at home!

Rock Tap House

Known in town for burgers, beer, and wings, Rock Taphouse has some seriously delicious food.

My favorite things to get are the Black and Bleu Burger with an order of fried pickles.

Another thing to try is their tequila lime tacos with a large order of ranch chips.

Johnny B’s Brickhouse

Pizza and wings and fried pickles.

To be honest, I haven’t been that impressed with their food. Two out of the four times I have had their food it’s been bland and blah. True North Dakotan food. Don’t get me wrong, I love bland food from time to time, but when you order pizza, you want the flavor to be more than bread and mozzarella cheese.

Now the fried pickle spears are a different story. I could eat the fried pickle spears every day. I won’t obviously, I can’t shell out $8 a day for pickles and I’m pretty sure it would kill the diet. But damn. They’re good.

Their sandwiches are also pretty good. I have only had the Cuban so far and it was tasty!

Johnny B’s also delivers on certain days of the week.

La Carreta

Hands down the best Mexican food you can get in Jamestown! The food is always steaming hot and the portions are generous. I’ve only ever had their nachos fajitas, but it’s so good you won’t even want to try something else!

Don’t forget to save room for flan for dessert when you’re done!

China Garden

China Garden is your typical Chinese Buffet and it is so good when you are craving Chinese. They have all your favorites and will even deliver to your home or hotel.

Have you ever tried fried pickles? I hear it’s a regional thing. What did you think of them?

Don’t forget to pin this to your food or travel board and share it with a friend!
